- - High impact - -
PVM has taken the regular short term mission trip and put it on steroids! We seek to design each trip to be one which will produce a high amount of impact for those who are experiencing it. Here is testimony to this of a team mother/leader: “ I have been on mission trips before...this was definitely different… What I like (love) is that I felt like we were on a work camp/retreat. Not only did we do the work we needed to do (physical and relational) but there was a HUGE focus on the spiritual growth of the kids staying at PVM. THANK YOU!!! I have seen unbelievable growth in my daughter and the other teens that went down with us. They have been getting together, almost daily since we have been back, praying, fasting, and just keeping the after glow burning...” We know that you too will walk away from your PVM experience with a feeling of great change for your life and the life of your youth.
- - All-inclusive - -
We have many years of youth ministry and missions to draw from, because of this we know that the last thing that you as a busy leader need is to put time and energy into planning and logistics of a mission trip in a foreign country. So on all of our PVM mission trips we ask you to bring your youth to the airport and we will pick you up and between that time and the time we drop you back off at the airport you are free from worry about logistics. We also include everything that you could think of in the cost of the trip. Most of our trips provide all of the following:
- Food: We serve excellent typical Costa Rican food so that participants get a feel for the local cuisine and are possibly moved out of their comfort zones by “rice and beans.”
- Housing: We host teams in our base camp, host families, hotels, and churches. You are always guaranteed a bed unless otherwise desired. We try to make our housing comfortable and adequate but not luxurious.
- Transportation: PVM maintains a fleet of vehicles that are used for transporting participants to and from outreach areas and activities. We also use trusted hired transportation to see participants moved safely from place to place.
- Staff: We provide knowledgeable staff for all of our trips. Most groups would be assigned at least three staff to lead and guide your trip and relate with your group.
- Training: We always provide spiritual input to the experience. This makes the experience more impactful in discipleship. This training may be done at the beginning or throughout the experience as a whole.
- Ministry supplies: We provide all materials that are needed for every project that is done: Children’s ministry, evangelism, Servant evangelism, construction projects, etc.
- Vacation: If your trip is 8 days or more we also take care of planning and carrying out a vacation/excursion day for your group. The typical vacation day is valued at $110 and is included in the amount that you pay for your total trip.

Here is a chart to show how we stack up to others that are involved in the same areas and ministries that we are. There are 5 other unnamed ministries that operate in Central America and especially Costa Rica.
